why print job goes to 2 different printers

I ran into a user that when she prints a power point job, the data goes to one printer and the drawing outline goes to another printer? I checked the preferences and they look fine The crazy thing is that the one part of the print job goes to the network printer (color) in the main office and the pother part goes to the printer in her office which is 3 offices away. One part goes to a black and white and the other goes to a color printer. I thought maybe a driver?

Do the printers have the same name? You must have a connection between offices for this to happen.

Do you mean one printer prints the slides and another the notes? Or the text goes to one, and images to the other?

Try doing an Office repair on the PC.

I will check but I do not think the names are the same. They are pretty good about naming conventions. I am new to thye company but they keep really good inventory. Both are on the same network. One printer which the program is for kids, tries to print a name picture with the child's name inside surrounded by another picture and outline. The inside is just a box with the child's name inside. one side comes out of printer on her desk and the name and other names will print to a totally different printer .

Clear the print spooler.

Right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator“.

Type net stop spooler then press “Enter“.
Type del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q then press “Enter“.
Type net start spooler then press “Enter“.
The print queue on your Windows should now be cleared.


Try replacing the drivers.  Remove the drivers from Devices and Printers, remove the driver packages (Programs and Features) and then de sure you go the Printer Server Management, Drivers tab and remove the driver as well.

Restart and reinstall the printers.
