asked on Search and Server through CNAME alias
This is my scenario: REALSERVER1 is W2012R2 and has "Windows Search Service" Feature installed and running fine. I've added a CNAME so that I can access the same REALSERVER1 with ALIASSERVER1 too.
Problem: if I search for a file from a client pointing to \\REALSERVER1\Share I get the correct results. If I run the same search pointing to \\ALIASSERVER1\Share I get NO results.
How can I get results for searches on \\ALIASSERVER1?
