how can a manufacture reset or hardware reset be accomplished with an iPhone 5S?

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

               I am wondering how we can carry out a manufacture default reset of an iPhone 5S.  Everything has been updated and a soft reset has been done by a technical representative of AT&T, but, we are still experiencing issues with it disconnecting when carrying out online and offline activities.  Interestingly, we are not having this issue whenever the iPhone 5S is being used for a simply telephone conversation.  

                Any submitted link or links which illustrate the simply and easy to follow procedures for carrying out this task will be greatly appreciated.

Hello and Good Afternoon Mark,

           To be perfectly honest, I was not present when a technical representative at the AT&T store tried to troubleshoot the issue.  However, I am interested in trying out your suggestions.  With this point in mind, could you provide the actual steps for accomplishing the goals you have in mind?

Hello and Good Morning Mark

           Thank you for getting me on the right track with this issue.  I am pleased to say it is now resolved following an update to the IOS.  This part was a bit tricky at first because of failures to download and install.  But, we finally got the IOS update to fully download and install.  The iPhone 5S is working great now :-)
