Exchange 2010 mailbox emails after quote reached

I am running exchange 2010.  I'm trying to figure out what has happened to some emails that are lost.  I have a mailbox that exceeded it's quote limits and it seems it quit accepting new email into it.  I increased the limits on the mailbox but I don't know how to find out if those emails are lost or how I can recover them.  Could someone help me?  Thanks in advance!

No way to recover email after mailbox quota limit was reached.
The rule on transport protocol said Prohibit send, then Prohibit send and receive.
So if second step was reached Exchange server just dropped all incoming emails.
There is no Delete Item container for dropped emails. They are just rejected.

Agre with Tom.
you won't be able to get them back at least you have an Antimalware service (3rd party) because the exchange will reject the messages.
You can try to get the Get-MessageTrackingLog command to find out which ones were rejected, so you can ask them again.
