.Net iPhone autofill

I can't seem to get the autofill working on my forms for iPhone etc. (.Net 4.0 Web Site)

I've accessed numerous things online, done it and just never seems to work.

Example...  I tried following instructions Here and I have autofill options in Safari turned on as well.

(Two of my controls...)
<label for="nameoncard">Name on Card</label><br />
<input type="text" id="inpcardname" runat="server" name="nameoncard" class="field" placeholder="Cardholders Name" autocomplete="nameoncard"  />

No prompt for autofill when I go to the page from my iPhone.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

According to the apple support documentation for HTML attributes (https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariHTMLRef/Articles/Attributes.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40008058-autocomplete) the only options accepted for autocomplete attribute are "on" and "off". In chrome and other browsers the attribute can receive a form control name to help the browser to guess what kind of information is expected to auto-fill. The common way is turning on autocomplete:

<input type="text" id="inpcardname" runat="server" name="nameoncard" class="field" placeholder="Cardholders Name" autocomplete="on"  />
