Why would archive folder not be visible in Outlook 2007

I have a user whose archive folder is not visible in Outlook 2007. There have been no policies set by IT for this and when I checked in Options, the folder specified in the Autoarchive settings didn't seem to exist. Any suggestions on how to get it back>

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If he closed it and deleted it, it may be gone forever; but, you should search his home user folder for ARCHIVE.PST making sure that hidden files and folders are included.  If you find it, you can then open it in Outlook.
