create active directory account with ready only access to a single organizational unit

I have a contractor managing a product that needs read only access to a single (user account) OU.  I do not want them to see anything else in my active directory but items in that specific OU, whether they are using an LDAP product or anything else.

Would it be possible to create a read-only user account that can only see items in this OU?  If so, how?

Thank you!!

That would involve setting deny rights for a particular group or user on all OUs because users have read-rights my default.

so, right click on the specific ou (or domain), properties, click on security tab, add this new user, advanced button, and deny these permissions:

    List Contents
    Read all properties
    Read permissions

Just to confirm, by default , anyone can use an ldap browser or other software to see the contents of active directory?  How can that be safe?
