Reload Win 10 Pro on laptop that originally had Win 10 Home

At the end of September or the beginning of October of this year I upgraded around 17 Windows 10 Home OS laptops to Windows 10 Professional.

On one of these laptops the OS corrupted beyond repair so I have attempted to reload the Windows 10 Pro OS using a USB flash drive.

The problem is that even though I am using the Windows 10 Pro installation media the laptop loads and activates the Windows 10 Home OS.

This Lenovo Yoga laptop has the Lenovo Windows 10 Home OS on it before the Windows 10 Pro upgrade was purchased and installed.

I have changed the Windows 10 activation key to the Windows 10 Pro key that was assigned to this laptop after the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro completed and have also changed the activation key back to the Windows 10 Home key that this Lenovo Yoga laptop had before it was upgraded to Windows 10 Pro but this hasn't upgraded the OS back to Windows 10 Pro.

I have also logged into the Microsoft store using the email address that was used to purchase this Windows 10 Pro upgrade for $99 and have logged into the Microsoft Store with this same Microsoft account but the OS on this laptop remains at Windows 10 Home.

What else needs to be done to get this Windows 10 Pro OS back on this laptop?

I would either apply the Pro upgrade after reloading with Home. That is reinstall and then upgrade after. Or, call the Microsoft Store, get a person and find out what they suggest with this key

If I understand this correctly, after installation of windows 10 (pro), you get reverted to Home.
Try this to absolve the issue -
1. Go to the "upgrade to Pro" screen;
2. Use the default MS key as the PRO product key -> VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
3. This default key will not activate the system, just take you to Pro so you can activate using a valid Pro key that you will provide.

Refer this for details.

Use the generic Pro activation Key (VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T) when asked during the Pro install, you'll still need to enter your purchased key once Pro is running.  Your Pro media also contains Home and the built-in Lenovo activation Key in the BIOS is what confounds this process.  Most owners of OEM installs go via an upgrade Key but that's not the path you need.

What phone number and extension should I use when I call the Microsoft Store about this issue?
