Folder redirection

Hello, I need some help with folder redirection we are using server 2012 r2 for DC1 and File server with folder redirection for following folders (app data, desktop, documents and favorites), the problem is folder redirection is going into K drive and we are running out of disk space in K drive so i have attached Synology NAS as iSCSI target to increase disk space in file server for our K drive, now i want to move folder redirection to new K drive because i couldn't extend the existing k drive space, synology iscsi disk space is just showing up as separate 11 TB of disk space in file server disk management, so should i turn of folder redirection and configure new K drive with large disk space or if is there any way if i can just extend the existing K drive space using our NAS iscsi target please advise and if i disable folder redirection GPO would it cause any problem to users.

No, I don't think you can extend the drive space...the only two options I can see are to either move everything over to the new drive and direct your folders there, or to set up DFS and go that route.

Thanks for quick reply I can create a new drive with same drive letter and change our old K drive to another letter no problem but would it be a problem to disable folder redirection GPO (specially App Data) and then recreate when new K drive is ready

You can convert both to dynamic disks then add the iSCSI as a span to extend the current drive but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that as it adds another level of complexity.

You can use "mklink" command to map certain folder in original drive to point to another drive, or using a "volume mount Point" in Disk Management to mount a folder to another volume.  Doing a span volume can work but not a good option, since one volume missing will cause the whole volume not accessible.
