NuB Question - Buffalo Terrastation

NuB Question - Buffalo Terrastation
I have inherited two different Buffalo Terrastation(s). Both I can set up users / groups / folders.
It is when I assign permissions to the folders - to lock them - authentication input appears - but credentials are not accepted.
Even though I am saving each step....
Is this something you need to log out of the TS and log back in for it to.....
Or restart....which I am kind of reluctant to do each time.

Also on the same subject the main access password was removed.
Is there a way of setting this....or is this through one of the "global admin" accounts.

I have used may NAS and secure storage devices....but this one is not very intuitive....or I am just thick....
Don't mind either way.

If you can assist, it will be very much appreciated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Davis,

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have now stopped work for the Christmas period and will not be back at my desk "officially", now, until 9th January 18.

It would make sense to close off this question and raise it again in the New Year.

As stated in my post.
I am now on leave for the Christmas period.

I have marked this ticket as resolved and will raise it again in Jan 2018

Is there a "close" option that allows the ticket to be closed properly?
