why does phone number display in widget

On a tablet, IN BLACK FOOTER by the bottom navigation, the phone number appears.  It isn't supposed to show up there.  It isn't in the widget.  It does not show up on desktop.  Wondering how/why it is there since the footer bottom navigation is displayed by going to appearances/menus.  I do not have anything that calls for a phone number.

Who is Participating?

The problem is not the before-footer-cta which is the dark blue widget that appears ABOVE the black footer with client's name. He wants phone number there.

The problem is on ipad in the black footer at the bottom of the page in the footer menu below the cta where the About/Services/Contact/Home bottom navigation appear.

I removed the custom footer output in genesis simple edits and that seemed to fix the issue.

Thanks for all your head scratching!

Nope.  A phone number still displays on tablets in the black footer area.

Oh, sorry, I don't have a tablet here at the office. Take a look at your media queries.

There are no media queries that I put in.  All media queries for this site were out of the box.  Have used this template for other sites.  Never had a problem before....

Have you looked at the positioning of the div that contains the phone number?
I know, looking at my phone there are 2 divs with the phone number at the bottom of the page. I'll try to borrow an iPad at the office to look at it there.

Chrome developer tools have an option to simulate iPads and other mobile devices.

The phone number is in the HTML in a Text Widget (text-12) in the div named before-footer-cta.

Well, I wasn't able to get an iPad to view it, anyway, my contract was just terminated, so I'm out of a job 5 days before Christmas, geez...
