I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you want to learn MySQL and Database modelling:

suggestion depends if you have knowledge about php and/or linux and/or databases.

The most complete information is here: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/

All the above resources are great.

Start with a local or net instance of MySQL (or better MariaDB) + just go through these courses.

Then create a project for yourself, like a complex WordPress plugin which does something highly useful + coding your design.

Reach out to EE or WordPress forums as you require assistance.

As a beginner start with w3schools and slowly you can go with www.tutorialspoint.com

David's comment is especially helpful as he recommended that the OP install a database and work with it directly alongside the independent study of MySQL/or equivalent. This hands-on approach seems the most optimal and therefore gets my vote as the best solution. Split to other participating experts.
