I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Probably it is dead. when a USB is dead it becomes write protected.

Use Rufus to format it and check if that helps.

Can you check on the memory itself, is there any tiny switch for write protection?

There is no switch or any button in the USB

Is there any protection in the iPhone settings=>application (lower part of the settings). I saw that you could protect individual files, so there might be some general locking for the device. Also, try connecting the device to iPad or other phone and check if you get any trust option.

If you would like to format it, you should try connecting it to USB adapter to PC or Mac. Before you try reformating, connect the drive to another phone
