Word - looking for the best way to hide a block of text

I'm familiar with hiding text by changing the Font property 'Hidden' = True.

Is there a more robust way to hide an entire block? One which also adjusts the Table of Contents.

rather than thinking about this from Word, maybe think about it from Access (since Access is managing your documents)? What sections and blocks do you want? Identify them and then let Access create the Word document from the blocks, with only what is needed ~

You could have Access add and remove blocks too, if needs change.

Once done, VBA to insert a TOC can run too, of course ~

have an awesome day,

Crystal, in this case the amount of content and formats became too much for 'assembling' the document from its parts. As seen in later E-E questions I managed to do the 'Hide'.
Since this question, I learned that the TOC just needed updating only, and it automatically leaves out the hidden parts.
