Joomla 3.x display module on mobile onlyl

I need to display a module on mobile only.  I put it on the desktop in the top right position and set the module class suffix as [space]hidden-desktop.  It does show on the mobile, but still shows on the desktop.  Is there another setting to make, so it won't show on the desktop?  Thanks.

Sorry.  I installed the Advanced Module Manager and it gave more options to work with. I couldn't get the hidden-desktop class suffix, or other suffixes, to work right until I installed the module manager.  Set it to exclude desktop.  Nothing else suggested helped, and I don't know what bootstrap does.

can you give a link to the site?
so actually it just displays on all devices at the moment?

is 'hidden-desktop'  style defined anywhere?

Thanks.  I ended up just downloading Advanced Module Manager and that worked great.  I needed to get it done by noon tomorrow.
I found some info about " hidden-desktop" as a pre-defined style at

Note that the examples shown on that site are specific to templates from particular companies.  Last I checked, Joomla was still using Bootstrap 2.3.2, which provides similar style classes.
