Hp Server Hardware monitoring tools

hi guys,

I've just installed a trial of WhatsUP Gold for server monitoring etc. However, I also want to be able to do hardware diagnosis, which this application doesn't really seem to be able to do very well. I don't have the money to buy Solarwinds either.

Don't HP have their own tools that one can install? I literally have a server in Hong Kong that has had a fan failure apparently, but I have no way of knowing that unless I install the right tools. Any ideas?

Thanks for helping

https://www.hpe.com/us/en/product-catalog/detail/pip.489496.html HP's Systems Insight Manager should give you the ability to view hardware failures in the OS a little more easily. It can hook into the BIOS and view stats like fan speed and temperatures for various components.

SIM is indeed the tool to monitor multiple HPE servers plus you can add all sorts of other kit to it as it supports SNMP.

For just a couple of HPE Windows servers though you can use the #Event Notification Drivers to send emails for disk and PSU failures instead, Not as powerful as SIM as won't notify you of complete server failure but doesn't need a monitoring station.
