xchange 2016. Managers need to be able to modify Distribution Group members. You are subscribed to this thread

Hello,

We are running an Exchange 2016 server on a Windows 2012 R2 server.

Managers want to be able to modify members of a Distribution Group.  Ideally they would need to be able to do this from within Outlook, by selecting and modifying the Distribution Group from the GAL.

Can you furnish steps to achieve this?

Thanks,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

You would need to add your manager under ownership column by editing the distribution group as described in below screenshot.

Howerver, if your manager is still not able to add or  remove  GAL users from outlook then it means that there is permissions issues in AD. This is known issue and you may refer to this link to cater it:
