I have Turbo Tax 2016 installed natively on my Windows 10 Pro system. Compatibility mode was not needed.

Make sure Windows is up to date and .NET Framework is current (V4.7), restart and try normal mode for install.

Now I installed V2016 a year ago and it would have been Windows 10 V1607 as Creator Update had not come out. Turbo Tax is from Intuit and I have QuickBooks V2017 and V2018 running fine on Windows 10.

If you think there may be issues with your Windows 10 system, run DISM.

Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Restart and test.

@OP: Compatibility should be a tab that you can select in Windows 10 when you right click an Icon and select "Properties". As per the example below:

Thanks to both of you for your assistance. I finally got both versions of  Turbo Tax 2017 Installed. The Business version was more flaky than Home and Business. I had been right clicking on the EXE name to load the properties but I wasn't clicking on the ICON. I can't believe that just clicking the ICON loads a different form than clicking the EXE name.
