I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

installed programs under program files are accessable to sll stsndard users.

user profiles under c:\users\ are not.

if you are looking for a program under program files it will be accessable without admin rights.

furthermore, if you mean UAC prompting, it may be turned on for the system by local or group policy, or by the user, check u nder the users control panel to see what setting UAC is operating under

Also make sure the standard user doesn't have "Local Admin" rights to the workstation. Check the Local Security Policy and groups to make sure they aren't in there in one of the groups that would bypass the domain credentials for being a power user or local admin.
