How to search for value in sql 2000

Hi Experts i am trying to search for data in a sql 2000 data
using select * from table_name where Column_name = "Null";

but the command not work
Please help

It is obviously not clear what you are trying to achieve exactly.

However, I will just make the command provided by you syntactically correct. Your intentions are not clear.

select * from table_name where column_name is null;

i have some records on my application not shown date so i need to search for column date for the empty one

No data found however in the application result  i can found some transaction without date

Also let us know what is the data type for that column.

i am trying to search for these empty date from 7 am to 5pm with more than 100000 record so i need to use the command to search for this empty date record

Well, if the main command didn't return rows I would believe that you really don't have any records falling in that condition.

i search by Credit & Debit instead of date
and i found that record and delete it
