Icloud and office 2013 on a mac wont log in

I am getting the following error. two step is off and imap, smtp and pw are all good.

The server for account "Icloud" returned the error "[AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

Login into your iCloud account via your browser. Go to "Settings". Click on "Apple ID Manage", which will require you to login again, not sure why. Under "Security", turn on "Two-factor Authentication".

You need to enable "Two-factor Authentication" and generate and use an app-specific password for your iCloud account and use the app-specific password in your Outlook 2013.

Why?

Outlook 2013 is a third party app from Apple and you need an app-specific app.

In contrast, if you use the mail app in OS X, you do not need an app-specific password.

In short, there is no setting to be changed in your computer as you cannot change the security required by Apple for iCloud account.
