How to find all Squarespace websites withinin a particular area.

If I do geolocation on the IP of a Squarespace site I get the location of the Squarespace server, which doesn't tell me anything about where the business is located.  So how can I find all the Squarespace websites  for businesses located in a certain area, maybe a zipcode or a county?

Thanks for any ideas.

Squarespace are most likely in AWS and have CDNs etc. Going to be near impossible to do this reliably.
Use the site "findip" great site.

There's no reliable way to achieve this, as Mark said.

You can get partial information from whois or from one of the many reverse IP info sites, like findip.

Unsure what good the geolocation might do you anyway, as a German company might be using SquareSpace (US company) + the SquareSpace server hosting the German company might be located in Canada or the EU.

May clarify exactly what you're attempting to determine from this data + someone can provides some ideas for you.

Also AWS if your using it correctly with Ansible Puppett etc can just do instant fail-overs into different countries and serve traffic in the same way!

My goal is to locate the businesses, not the server, so anything based on the IP is not going to get me there, for the reasons you guys cite.

I'm a Squarespace specialist, and I'd like to offer a personal, local service to businesses in a 50-mile radius who have Squarespace websites: design, repair, improvement, mainenance . . . .

Thanks again.

Why limit yourself to a geographic area?  Everything has to be done online anyways.

I think people feel more comfortable about hiring you if you're local, if they can meet you over a cup of coffee and kick ideas around. And I'm not limiting myself to local business, I'd be happy to work with anyone.  But I'm thinking that the best way to approach the local people is as a local myself.
