Calendar Publishing is read-only, and one direction. Think of it as publicly facing read-only webpage, showing the OWA calendar view. You will be fine as per your requirements.

But, then my question is - I don't see how to enable only Publishing for my users. &nbsp;Can I do that, and not allow general external sharing? &nbsp;I just want to allow 'read only' publishing. &nbsp;Thanks.

Can we allow Global Calendar Publishing only -- with allowing External Sharing in O365?
