iPhone app for adding tethering feature to non jail broken Sprint PCS iPhone X

Are there any apps for adding the tethering feature (so I can surf the internet on my laptop connected to my iPhone) on a non jailbroken Sprint PCS iPhone X running iOS 11.2 (15C114)?

I already have an unlimited data plan through Sprint PCS.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. I do this on my (non-broken) iPhone.  Settings, Personal Hotspot and enable it (with a strong password).  Works just fine.

Follow the official tutorial in the link above but Sprint can restrict your use of Personal Hotspot.

Please just use the settings I posted earlier. Set the hotspot to work.

Set Up Wi-Fi Hotspot for the Apple iPhone 8 Plus (Should be the same for iPhone X)

1. From the home screen, tap Settings.

Note: A separate Mobile Hotspot service plan is required in order to use this device as a mobile hotspot.

2. Tap Personal Hotspot.

Note: If the Mobile Hotspot feature is not currently active on the account, the Personal Hotspot option may not appear on the device. Follow any prompts to add the Mobile Hotspot feature.

3. Tap the Personal Hotspot switch to turn it on.

Note: If prompted to turn on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, tap an option.

4. Tap Wi-Fi Password.

5. Enter a password, then tap Done.

6. The personal hotspot is now active, allowing other devices to connect via Wi-Fi.

I'm trying to do this without having to pay extra to have the Mobile Hotspot service plan added to my Sprint PCS service plan.

This is something that can be done once the iPhone is jail broken but currently there isn't a jail break available for the iPhone X.

So are there any methods or ways of doing this without having to have the Mobile Hotspot service plan added to my Sprint PCS service plan?

You need to ask your ISP. iPhone has a built-in Hotspot capability that I use and my ISP does not charge (but I have a limited (not unlimited) plan.

Agreed.

There are no apps or settings which can help you to circumvent the restriction imposed by your carrier for tethering.

"Your iPhone’s tethering or mobile hotspot functionality enables you to use your data plan to connect to the internet on your Mac or PC. Lex Friedman reported for MacWorld in 2011 that Apple approved and then quickly pulled an app called iTether, which enabled users to circumvent the tethering fees assessed by their carrier. Tethering apps the company banned in the past included Handy Light and NetShare. In the case of iTether, Apple reportedly said the app “burdens the carrier network” in explaining its decision to rescind its approval of the app."

From your profile history for questions, your employer should be financially capable to reimburse you a data plan which allows tethering and there should be no need to jailbreak your iPhone for tethering at all.
