clng( [On hand FG] ) + clng( [QTY_S] ) is what fixed it for me. Can you explain what clng does? Just so I know how to use it next time. Thanks again for all the help!!

Well, if those fields are going to contain numeric data, they should be defined as numbers, not as text values.<br />
<br />
clng( ) is one of about a dozen conversion functions which allow you to convert values of one data type to another. &nbsp;In this case, it appears they are converting text values to numbers, but if those fields are defined as text, then a user could enter &quot;a&quot; in a textbox, and the clng( ) function will raise an error.<br />

I have a report where I am trying to add fields together. Problem is when I put [On hand FG] + [QTY_S] into my report instead of adding the fields together it is just putting the &nbsp;field numbers together. <br />

For example <br />
On Hand &nbsp; &nbsp;QTY_S &nbsp; &nbsp; Total <br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;6 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;0 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 60 &nbsp;<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;50 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 150<br />
