How to restore data from a decomisioned wintel client on TSM.

Hi everyone.
2 month ago a wintel server was decomisioned/shutted down. But today the wintel admin is asking me for a restore of a folder from that server. is there any way to restore the requested data if the  client server is off?

Thanks in advance.

If it's a simple server, just remove the disk and read it on another computer, or USB caddy.
Obviously not possible if it's an advanced Dell or HP with RAID configuration/hardware
Yes, you can.
See here. Your current client will authenticate to the TSM server as the original one. Or you can use it on some test machine.

if the retention of that folder hasn't expired yet ... yes you can.

You need to logon as Ronin said. Should you have forgotten password for that node, you can update it from server:

upd node <yournode> password <new_password>

hope this helps
