Unable to uninstall Epson XP-960 Series Printer Uninstall

Dear Experts,

I have a user who is trying to install an Epson XP-960 printer.  Apparently, the installation went awry, so he tried to back out and start over.  However, he is not able to uninstall the Epson XP-960 Series Printer Uninstall.  I have attached a picture of the error message I am receiving when trying to uninstall Epson XP-960 Series Printer Uninstall.  The user is using a Lenovo T430s laptop and Windows 10 Pro OS.

I have tried searching Epson's website for help; but, I could not find anything.  It also appears that there is no un-installer program that I could download to remove this lone entry that is still hanging around.

Any help you give will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Revert the system to the last Restore Point that was created before the printer driver was installed.
In addition, clear the Print Spooler, remove the driver, restart and try installing again.

1. Right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator“.
Type net stop spooler then press “Enter“.
Type del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q then press “Enter“.
Type net start spooler then press “Enter“.
The print queue on your Windows should now be cleared.

2. Open Devices and Printers, click on one printer. That opens the Printer Server Manager menu. Go to the Drivers tab and delete the Epson driver.

Restart and try installing the printer again.

No problem and thanks for the update. If you get a warning notice that your question will expire, please come back here and post again to keep the question fresh until you get a chance to try things out.
All,

As it turned out, it appears that the laptop has a permissions issue, behind the scenes.  I had trouble with MS Office software that had the be repaired.  During the repair, the repair couldn't access certain files because of a permissions issue.  Therefore, I am believing that there is a permissions issues that is causing the simple install of a printer to not work.  I am going to re-image the laptop and start over.

Thank you all for your assistance.
