High SQL Production Traffic

Dear Experts,

My client found that when the production log traffic is high for any of his DBs, the replication will be stuck as in not repliating anymore.

Stuck at log reader and not forwarding to the distribution agent

Is there a workaround solution for this?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess you're using Transactional Replication.
Only thing I can see to try to avoid this issue is to improve your network and disk speeds, so replication can happens as fast as possible, reducing the impact in the performance.

Hi! Vitor,

May I know how do we capture their performance as we need to report it to my client's management for justification?
