I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm guessing your setup is DNS round robin of multiple IPs for one site.

This is extremely easy.

1) Generate a https://LetsEncrypt.org free cert.

2) Propagate the cert files from the node/machine where cert was generated to all other cluster nodes/machines.

3) Ingest the cert files on all cluster nodes/machines + restart all associated processes - Web, Mail, etc...

4) Setup a CRON job (or equivalent) to run nightly to auto-renew your cert + when auto renewal triggers (normally 10 days before cert expiration), then have your CRON job automatically do steps #2 + #3 again.

I currently do this with 100s of client sites + process runs pretty much hands free, once the initial cert is generated + setup for all processes using the cert on all machines (primary + hot spares + cluster nodes).
