Public folder calendar on offce365

Good day,

Created a public folder mailbox, added public folder and linked with out look 2013. Gave self ownerrights permissions. Calendar for that public folder shows in the list, but with a message could not be updated. clicking on folder properties gives message could not be displayed. folder may havebeen deleted or server unavailable. no appropriate permission to view the properties. what am i doing wrong.

When you created the mailbox, did you give a new name to the public folder?
If you can not see the messages is most likely that the mailbox is not created. Try to send a message to the public mailbox and see will come to an auto-reply. If you still cannot see the message, then something is not right with your permissions. If you get auto-replay for no such e-mail address than re-create the public mailbox.

setup root permisison and folder permission. can add the folder to outlook, but still says cannot open. didnt get any autoreply either.

send a email with delivery notification and shows delivered

the trouble was with not knowing how to setup the item. created a calendar in outlook under public folder and then imported the old data. all workign now.
