Best Service/Application to Backup Cloud Data

We're currently storing data on Office 365 cloud and looking for redundancy, so far we tested Cloud Ally and it's hard to tell how well it's working. My personal feeling is it's too light, meaning it doesn't provide enough feedback of current status especially larger folders. Just says, "backup in progress" and nothing else. Depending on the folder size this can last for days.

I'm not concerned with running my own calculations to determine when the backup should finish. I'm looking for software that will do this for me or I would just FTP sync the data myself.

Question EE, what have you used for cloud to cloud backup and why?

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I’ve resold backupify in the past. The techs and clients have all said good things about it. Not sure if Datto has made any changes recently but they are good with thier other offerings.

Kudos to you for even being concerned; too many seem to trust the cloud with their lifeblood and not worry about it.
The right answer is that whatever service you use, you need to be able to inspect the backups which is usually done by logging into the account and checking what is there.

Datto Backupify is our preferred solution for backing up Office 365.  They have "version 2.0" coming out shortly as well.  It has proven reliable and easy to use for our customer base.

Spanning also has a good solution we offer.

@ David McCarn thank you. I've been doing backup and recovery for 15 plus years and the cloud is not ready for professional-level recovery. It's similar when Carbonite (to name one of many) first came out pretending to be professional grade. What a mess that was for allot of people.

I'm a StorageCraft fan, booted failed servers in the cloud after they failed. Restored exchange and SQL databases and everything in between. As well recovered from Crypto Encryption. I'm the person that gets called when it all goes downhill if clients want to get in the cloud to fast I have them sign off on the backup solution and they can pretend the call will never come. Until then I'll continue searching for a valuable solution. Doesn't seem to be one that I can find.

Specifically looking to backup Box. Office 365 pretty solid however Box constant sync issues.
