How do you set up PXE boot on a Precision 5510?
I can't figure out how to set up PXE booting on a precision 5510 or any precision that requires a gigabit adapter. Can anyone assist me on doing this?

You need to "Enable Thunderbolt Boot Support". You can find this setting under System Configuration > USB/Thunderbolt Configuration. If you want to UEFI PXE boot, then you also need to "Enable UEFI Network Stack". This setting can be found under General > Advanced Boot Options (disable the "Enable Legacy Option ROMs" while there if you want native UEFI). After you do this, then you should see "USB NIC(IPV4)" and "USB NIC(IPV6)" under UEFI BOOT when you press F12 and the USB-C Ethernet adapter is plugged in and connected to the network

Are you using Legacy mode or UEFI?

I'm using UEFI and I checked everything under the thunderbolt configuration. all I'm seeing under UEFI BOOT:
PM951 NVMe SAMSUNG 512GB, Partition 1
Also using a Cable Matters USB 3.0 adapter.

And you have "Enable Legacy Option ROMs" disabled under General > Advanced Boot Options?

I'm thinking I may need that adapter you posted earlier. Nothing else seems to be working. I will try the new adapter once I get it and let everyone know.
Sorry, missed entirely that you're using a USB 3.0 and not C adaptor - yes, you can only get PXE through the USB C/Thunderbolt port.
Dell can be PXE boot only with certain LAN adapters. Settings in BIOS will not help you much if you do not have appropriate adapter. I was testing 4 years ago the latest XPS at that time, and I managed to find only 2 adapters compatible with it. Took me few months research and testing. Even Dell support could not help me at that time. I think you should spend some time googling if you do not want to test adapters yourself.
