Why does a website not keep me signed in?

When I use Google Chrome to open nextivaFax.com, there is a check box to keep me signed in.   I check that box and enter my username and password.   The next time I open the website, my username and password have disappeared.   How do I configure ti so I do not have the enter my username and password each time?   Previously, I did not have to do this.

I assume you know how to set form and password retention in Chrome because you had it working.

1. Reinstall Chrome, restart and test.

2. Make a new test Windows User Profile, log into the new Windows Profile and test.
Also look in Control Panel, Credentials and see if the user name is present. Delete it is so, restart and try logging in again

If your browser deletes cookies on exit, this is one of the effects that ensues.  Check the browser's cookie policy and privacy settings.
Do you have any software that cleans the temp files and registry automatically or scheduled (ex. CCleaner)?
Properly set up a good cleaner should not affect credentials. Worth checking, but I have not seen this - myself or clients,
Exit Chrome.

Go to this  address:
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\default\

Copy Login Data and Login Data-journal files to your Desktop (for Back up). Delete Login Data and Login Data-journal files from the  above address (C:\users\...\default\).

Note: you can copy those two files back to the original Address if this procedure didn't resolve the issue.

Note: with deleting those two files you will lose all your older passwords saved in Chrome and you have to re-type them.

Some websites retain the login information, other do not.   I have no idea why.
Did you look in Credential Manager and what was there?
This is screenshot of Credentials.   I have no idea what it means.

Thank you for posting that. There do not appear to be any credentials related to your website. And yet they should be there because that is how Windows does it.

You should now make a new, test Windows User Profile. Sign into the new Windows Account and test Chrome for saving passwords.
Do you have a google account to log on to Chrome? If you do not have, then create one and sign in.
Go to Chrome Settings=>Advanced=>Passwords and Forms, Manage Passwords=>ON and AutoSign In should be turned on.
Most of this should be selected by default If you were playing with the settings you can try with Reset and bringing everything to default.
True about Gmail and Google accounts, but most Web passwords are shared between IE / Edge and Chrome via Windows Credentials but they are not there. That is why it is important to try a new Windows User Account.
My current Windows 10 does not have Password Protected Sharing available in Change advanced sharing settings, so I am using Chrome feature for it.
Windows Credentials serves both Chrome and IE / Edge. I use both.
I checked the list of saved passwords in Google Chrome.   The log-in information for nextivafax does not appear.   Does this mean the website has prevented saving the log-in information?    All the other saved passwords are present.   I also have Roboform password manager installed, as I cannot remember the passwords for the sites I visit regularly.   Could this be interfering with the log-in for nextivafax?
RoboForm would have to "hijack" Windows to look after all the passwords, so yes that could (I assume) interfere.
When I use IE instead of Chrome, it retains the login information, so I assume it is not a problem with the Nextiva website.   I can use IE instead of Chrome, but I would like to know why Chrome does not work for that particular website.
Chrome has its own way of doing things to be different from what works. Try the Chrome file settings offered above.
Did you try my suggestion ?
Yes, it did not work, sorry.   Any idea why Chrome retains all the other log-in info, except nextivafax?
The answer to your question is blocked Flash.

Get the latest Chrome: https://www.google.co.nz/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwiMqdC5kbrYAhVFJCsKHT8XBwwYABACGgJzZg&sig=AOD64_3SSoY8BMH7wZUalAChOFwRfH5Jfg&q=&ved=0ahUKEwi078m5kbrYAhXHmpQKHX5KAcUQqyQIKSgA&adurl=

Update flash: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Then follow this below:
Step One: Allow Flash in each Flash website
In chrome://settings/content/flash , enable "Ask first".
Go to https://vfax.nextiva.com/
Click "green lock" icon or "i in circle" icon at the left side of address bar.
In the menu, choose "Always allow on this site" for Flash.
Reload.
Step Two: (Only if you see "Plugin blocked" icon)
Click "Plugin blocked" icon in top right corner of address bar.
Click "Run all plugins this time".
Repeat in every page navigation and page reload.
FAQ:
Why is Step Two required?
The Flash website contains Flash plugins with size < 400px x 300px, they will always be blocked. You can use Step Two to temporarily unblock it.
How to make Step Two no longer required?
Contact website owner to make all Flash plugins becomes clearly visible, must be bigger than 400px x 300px, not hidden by CSS rule (display: none, visibility: hidden, width: 0, height: 0 etc), not covered by any content.
No.  Try going to IE, signing in and retaining the password. Then look in Credential Manager to see if there. It may carry over to Chrome.
@DoctorK,  My comment above ... "No, Try going to IE... "  is in answer to your question "Any idea ..."   and is not in any way aimed at Mr. Bocevski .  Just for clarity on my part.
I tried to enter a new credential in credentials manager, but I got this error:

Windows cannot save this information.   Make sure the information is correct and that all required fields are completed.
Error code 0x80070057 Error Message: The parameter is incorrect.

The site requires me to enter an addition, such as 2+3=5 as well as the login info.   Previously, however it was entered automatically whenever I went to the webpage before this issue was seen.

I tried a new Windows profile and it worked, even with Roboform.   Thank you.
Thanks for trying , thanks for the update and I am glad that worked for you.
