asked on

Files are not being registered on my Windows 10 machine while installing Crystal Reports older version.

I need to install this if at all possible. I am wondering if there is a way to either register many files in a folder at once. With a command that registers them all without having to name each one or...
....is there a way to force the registration upon installation. I did the right click on the SETUP.EXE file and AUTORUN.EXE file and chose Run As Administrator. I still get the error that the files are not registering upon install.
Finally, if those are not possible. Can the installation folder that files are installed to be setup to accept all installed files as registered? I do not know if I am dreaming here but thought I would ask as for all I know it may be possible?
Thank you for investigating my question.

When I run it for the folder in question.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
This program runs if it is a program?
FOR %1 IN (*.DLL) DO REGSVR32 /S %1
Then it goes all the way through the list A-Z then it gives this error. User generated image

It is CR 2008. I need to by the latest 2016 and I will in a month or two when I can afford. I saw it for 400 on Amazon advertised but when I click on the link the price goes back up to $495.

I had a similar problem on my Windows 7 Pro. I registered 1 file and it corrected the problem on that machine. I thought I might luck out and get the "9" year old product on my machine so I can get to work.

To answer Mr Cieslik's question. The error occurs when i try to install. This machine has had Enterprise on it XI R2 and Tableau Developer & Server on it. However when I run the command above.

The errors come during the install for dozens of files in the following folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
I run this FOR %1 IN (*.DLL) DO REGSVR32 /S %1
Then it goes all the way through the list A-Z then it gives this error. Error Code when trying to register all files in folder
