Remove duplicated .MP3 audio book files from iTunes, iPhone, & authorized computers

A customer of mine imported several audio books into iTunes.

Each audio book chapter is saved as an MP3 file.

The problem is that the same audio books were imported several times.

How can I remove the duplicate iTunes audio book files from  iTunes, the user's iPhone X, & authorized computers?

I need to make sure that only the duplicate files are removed and nothing else.

How can this be done?

There is no automatic way to do what you want. In the authorized computer with most recordings, run iTunes and do the following.

1. You need to make a table showing the duration of each recording for each chapter of each book.

2. Sort all recordings by duration.

3. Listen the first 30 seconds of each recording and confirm the chapter / book and rename the recording to the syntax below.

4. Do not rename if it is a duplicate.

5. Repeat Step 1 to 4 with another authorized computer if you have not yet finished the full list of books/chapters.

You need to have a master table for all recordings with correct syntax of recordings before you can delete all recordings of all mobile devices and consolidate all recordings in correct syntax in one authorized computer as the master computer and you can sync the recordings to all mobile devices and they will be correct afterwards.

In short, basic concept of rubbish in rubbish out is to be observed for all kinds of database task.

Do you want to remove the files cleanly from the library, or just delete the files and let the software deal with this as it may?

I want to remove all duplicate files and put these duplicate files in the Recycle Bin.
