How to set up a conference room with webcam?

We have a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and the Asus Chrome stick connected to the TV. These work great but now we need a webcam to complete the setup. We purchased the Logitech Brio 4k Pro webcam, but can not get it turn on. Is there a way to use the Brio with the TV or what is the best option.

Are you using USB 2.0 cable?  You need to use USB 3.0 cable.

I'm reading about compatibility problems surrounding cables and motherboards with the computers themselves.

Let me know.

We are using a USB 3.0, but will not turn on when we are on Google Hangouts and GoToMeeting. Says no camera is found. Not sure if it just doesn't work while the Google Chrome stick is on?

Regarding the camera not turning on, is it not powering any of the led lights on the front of the cam?

I'm assuming you are plugging the camera into the USB2 port on the back of the Asus Chromebit (Chromestick)?

If you plug the camera directly into the usb port of some other random powered device, to the led lights turn on?

If so, I wouldn't be surprised if there is not enough power being passed through the Chromestick, to power the webcam.

The camera is plugged into the TV usb port and no led lights turn on. It is like the TV only can find the Chromestick and the Bluetooth keyboard.
Lucas BishopClick TrackerCommented:
The USB port on your tv, has no way to interact with the Chromestick plugged into the HDMI port of your TV.

Your only option in the current setup is to plug the camera into the chromestick. That assumes the Chromestick can provide enough power, to power up the camera.

The system requirements for the camera are that it be connected to a computer with Windows 7 or Chrome OS (your Chromestick may fit this criteria) installed on it:

Ok, so the camera works when we plug it into the Chromestick. But that was where our Logitech Bluetooth USB was for the keyboard. Now when we put the Bluetooth USB into the TV it does not connect. How do we get the keyboard to work now?

TV make and model?

According to this it is not possible to have "We have a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/mouse"
You can connect a wired/wireless keyboard or mouse to Smart TV models released after 2012
* Bluetooth keyboard and mouse cannot be used.

That's really weird to me that LG would say that.  Before you added the Brio, were the "Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and the Asus Chrome stick" working just fine?
Thomas BernalDirector of SalesAuthor Commented:
Yes, the Bluetooth keyboard and Chrome stick work great without the Brio.
Lucas BishopClick TrackerCommented:
All of your devices (keyboard, mouse, camera) need to connect directly into your Chromestick. You can't pull this off by connecting one device to the TV and another device to the Chromestick. Anything connected to the TV separately, will not be able to communicate with your Chromestick. Disregard the USB port on your TV, nothing in this setup will plug into it.

The Chromestick connects to the TV.
All other devices need to connect to the Chromestick.

Your Chromestick has bluetooth built into it, so you won't need to use the "dongle" in the USB port to connect the keyboard/mouse to the Chromestick:
bluetooth chromebit
Set the dongle to the side.

Plug the camera into the Chromestick.
Pair the bluetooth keyboard/mouse to the Chromestick without using the dongle.

Now, if your keyboard/mouse is actually "wireless" and not "bluetooth" then you won't be able to get this working without a USB hub of some sort.

To pair the keyboard/mouse via bluetooth. You will probably need to use the wireless usb dongle, so that you can navigate to the menu where you setup the bluetooth devices.

From there, you will need to put the devices into bluetooth pairing mode, then remove the wireless dongle from the Chromestick's usb port once they are paired via bluetooth. At that point you'll be able to connect the camera into the freed up usb port.

If this is the keyboard...Logitech K400 920-007119 Plus Wireless Touch Keyboard, we need to get a Bluetooth keyboard to complete the setup?
Lucas BishopClick TrackerCommented:
Correct. That is not a bluetooth keyboard, it's a wireless keyboard.

With a wireless keyboard, you are forced to use a usb dongle (wireless antenna), which means you won't be able to plug your webcam into the Chromestick.

With a bluetooth keyboard, you don't need a usb dongle since your Chromestick has a bluetooth antenna built into it.
