ASP.NET SSO

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find a way to develop SSO for my company.
We have two web applications which developed by ASP.NET.

I will be happy with your recommendations.

Note: please if you can refer to how to develop SSO with .NET technology as ASP.NET, MVC.

Thank you.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

SSO is probably an overloaded word.

Do you mean Windows Authentication? Meaning, in your company there is already AD (Active Directory) implemented and all employees logon to the machine. All you want to do is NOT ask for their user id / password again.

If yes, it is pretty simple. All you have to do is in your hosting environment (IIS) enable Windows authentication for the web-site and disable all other authentications (such as anonymous, etc).

Hi and thank you for your answer.

It's going to implement for many customers, which means a customer with an AD or without.

I need some starting point to let customer to login and save their credentials.
I found an API https://www.okta.com/products/single-sign-on/ that give this option to build the SSO on it.

Please, can you advise.
