Cannot extend or create volume in Unallocated Space - Server 2012

I cannot extend a volume or create a new volume in the Unallocated space.  All buttons are grayed out.

This is a Windows Server 2012 Standard edition.

Please see attachment... looking to extend drive G if possible.  Any help or recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks.

Right-click on the area showing Unallocated, and you should get an option to Simple Volume / format the disk.

That is how you usually do it, but the options are all grayed out.  The only option I can click on is Properties or Help.

That makes sense.  Will look into using 3rd party utility.  Thank you!

Hello There

I am glad I could help.
Good luck!

I'm not able to access any configurable disk menu to chose from MBR to GPT. F8, F9, F10, or F11 does not offer this configuration. Mind you, I have a HPE ProLiant DL320e Gen8 server. The closest thing that comes to a configuration menu is the Intelligent Provisioning that comes standard with all HPE ProLiant servers. There also a B120i Smart Array Controller menu. Nothing there either.

There is no operating system installed yet. I get this error when I'm attempting to install Windows 2012 R2.
