exchange hub transport

I am experiencing memory exhaustion on my hub server.(exchange 2010sp3)

when I checked the page file configuration. I see 12298 on D drive whereas  it should be on c drive?(attached image)

also memory is 12gb ALLOCATED, can you identify what is wrong here

I have seen same issue during this period, with one of my client also, after reboot it fixed and never happened again. For one of the server, I suggested then to rename queue folder and let Exchange create fresh queue and after that stopped completely. If you are not seeing this anymore, I suggest you to leave it. Report back, if you still face any issue.

Nothing wrong with page file hosted on D drive. It is rather a best practice to keep page file on other drive. Normally, I keep 100 MB on C drive and rest on D drive. However, make sure D drive is a local disk to the server. If it is not, then keep on C drive, however make sure you have enough space to accommodate page file.

For Exchange you should keep actual + 10 MB page file size. So if it is 12 GB. It will be 12GB + 10 MB. Let me know, if more query.

yes we rebooted and it happened from dec 26 to 29th daily for sometime and stopped

From event id screenshot, I can see Edgetransport.exe is causing high memory. Which is the core service for hub role and related to mail queue. That is why, it is related to high mail volume.
