- ise of expressway without vpn

I am missing something in the configuration with VPN

My iphone is not registering, and configuration reference or tips you could pass along ?

Which vpn type did you configure? Do you have wifi on your LAN to check if you are you able to register the iphone directly?

Anyconnect VPN, yes we have WiFi

We have a data WiFi no voice WiFi

I assume we need a voice WiFi

I configured this step by step via a Cisco doc, the doc seemed incomplete.

I am confused as to how the cell phone will get registered ?

I am also confused about the added benefit of adding cell phones ?

Our users have company cell phones and desk phones. it seems to me adding cell phones just creates another security hole.

What are your thoughts ?

When the cell phone is connected through vpn, try to check its IP address and try to ping it from your CUCM server.
In my opinion, using Jabber on cell phones provide flexibility and mobility for employees but nowadays, it is highly recommended to use expressway instead of anyconnect vpn.

Tried logging into jabber, on my iPhone, it says could not discover network
Where in Call Manager to I find the address to connect to ?
Jabber works on my laptop

I am using the same address that is in presence, and on my laptop jabber client
when logging into jabber on my iphone error says can not locate server
