Spectre Meltdown patch

I have some 2008R2 servers, when I run Windows update I don't see the patch being downloaded. There is no AV on the server  and the relevant reg key is not present. Any ideas why? thanks.

In cases where customers can’t install or run antivirus software, Microsoft recommends manually setting the registry key in order to receive the January 2018 security updates.

Microsoft added this requirement to ensure customers can successfully install the January 2018 security updates. Microsoft will continue to enforce this requirement until there is high confidence that the majority of customers will not encounter device crashes after installing the security updates.

And when you do as per above, you MUST update your server. It is Windows Updates that protect you, not a registry key (that is needed so you can update safely).
