Dear all,

I just bought MS office 2016 and figured out that this version of MS office is not compatible with exchange 2007.

Someone recommended me to downgrade to MS office 2013.

I am wondering if I can activate MS office 2013 with MS office 2016 key.

please advise me if there is any link from Microsoft.

Thank you in advance guys

If you purchased a volume license, you can go to the Microsoft Volume License Service Center and download an older version and the key to activate it (the 2016 key will not activate 2013).

If you did not purchase a volume license, you're out of luck. I don't believe downgrade rights are granted to retail licenses and they definitely don't include keys or media for the older versions.

However, it's very unwise to still be using Exchange 2007.  It's no longer supported.  When you use outdated, unsupported software, you are at greater risk for things like ransomware and other malware.  You NEED to move to Exchange 2010 AT LEAST and 2016 at best. Or switch to Office 365 hosted Exchange.
