Downgrade from MS office 2016 to 2013 and activate it

Dear all,

I just bought MS office 2016 and figured out that this version of MS office is not compatible with exchange 2007.

Someone recommended me to downgrade to MS office 2013.

I am wondering if I can activate MS office 2013 with MS office 2016 key.

please advise me if there is any link from Microsoft.
