EXCHANGE, MEMORY

I see on my exchange Hub Server, it is not in pattern but sometimes my edgetranport.exe consumes lot of memory.

I have 12 gb memory installed and page file configuration is set up properly.

we have several hub transport servers across US , Europe but issued occurred on Europe ones

However, can you tell me, if this is a VM or Physical box. Do you have option to add 4GB more memory to this box.

16GB is ideal for hub servers...also there is a ratio for hub:cas:mbx server.

I am confused :7:1 (no antivirus scanning on Hub Transport server)

5:1 (with antivirus scanning on Hub Transport server)

If you have Antivirus software running on hub server. Then for every 5 mailbox server you need atleast one hub server.

If I understand, you have two CAS and Two Hub and 10 MBX server. Two seems to be low. I might add two more Hub in the mix. Even CAS server count is also low. You need minimum 6 CAS.

There are lot of factors for 5:1 ratio. Check full article. Most of the customer environment, can never meet that standard. From my experience, I am suggesting to add 2 more Hub. Or for now add extra RAM and check, if that makes any difference.
