Change TrustedDomain class AD object

Hi Looking to update the msDS-SupportedEncryptionTypes attribute for a trusted domain object on a 2016 Server

Get-ADObject -Filter {trustPartner -eq ""} -Properties "msDS-SupportedEncryptionTypes" | Set-ADObject –replace @{ "msDS-SupportedEncryptionTypes"='24'}

Getting back Set-ADObject : Illegal modify operation. Some aspect of the modification is not permitted

Any help much appreciated

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This attribute is listed as an enumeration, and other attributes starting with 'msDS-' are calculated, so I think this attribute may be calculated by the system based on settings, like what is done for user accounts.  Docs show that it is supposed to be set by an LDAP modify, which implies a low-level modify call which Powershell probably isn't doing.
