sadly I can't make it work. I am attaching the old configuration she had in her old Outlook 2010 where everything was working.
I copied and tried all the port and security ( TSl-SSL) combination you gave me. I can receive emails but I cant reply or sent.
I am also attaching the error I receive
What am I missing ? its just a stupid AOL email...what am I missing ?

It could be AOL. I do not use (and never used AOL).
In your second screen shot, set SMTP (587) to TLS or SSL instead of auto - try that. Also as a test, try port 465 (TLS or SSL)

I agree with testing port 465 for outgoing SMTP.
I've also asked a moderator to reset the points on this question, since I obviously didn't solve it completely the first time.

Hello guys, and thank you so much for helping me with this issue.
I have spent 30 minutes trying all the possible ports i found in your articles and on line, i also tried all the possible conmbination with SSL or TSl nothing worked. then i took a close look at the error message and i focus the attention on the SMTP and the way it logged on and it authenticate.
so i tried to change the default setting under the Outgoing Server tab to 'LOG ON USING : and i typed the email and password and it worked.
still don't know why but it worked....
thank you everyone for assisting me in this little issue :)
