Did you test the settings when setting up the account?  if they passed then there should be no problems with the account.

The message for which you posted the screenshot is a specific recipient. Can the user send to another (different) recipient?

Open the Outlook account settings and run the test send. What message / error do you get?

sadly I can't make it work. I am attaching the old configuration she had in her old Outlook 2010 where everything was working.
I copied and tried all the port and security ( TSl-SSL) combination you gave me. I can receive emails but I cant reply or sent.

I am also attaching the error I receive
What am I missing ? its just a stupid AOL email...what am I missing ?

It could be AOL. I do not use (and never used AOL).

In your second screen shot, set SMTP (587) to TLS or SSL instead of auto - try that.  Also as a test, try port 465 (TLS or SSL)

I agree with testing port 465 for outgoing SMTP.

I've also asked a moderator to reset the points on this question, since I obviously didn't solve it completely the first time.

Hello guys, and thank you so much for helping me with this issue.

I have spent 30 minutes trying all the possible ports i found in your articles and on line, i also tried all the possible conmbination with SSL or TSl nothing worked. then i took a close look at the error message and i focus the attention on the SMTP and the way it logged on and it authenticate.

so i tried to change the default setting under the Outgoing Server tab to 'LOG ON USING : and i typed the email and password and it worked.

still don't know why but it worked....

thank you everyone for assisting me in this little issue :)
