Office 365 Exchange Account Outlook Emails Disappear After Moving To A New Folder

After moving an email (from say the inbox) to a newly created folder, the email disappears.

What would cause this?

I checked the sync settings and they seem correct.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you check OWA (the webmail)? It can take a while for Outlook to correctly display the moved messages, especially if you are moving a bunch of items.

If this is the case, is there a way to force the changes; if so how?

You are supposed to tell us if this is indeed the case by checking OWA :)

Look at the bottom left of the Outlook window, do you see "filters applied"? If so, click on it and then do "clear all" if you have a lot of folders  like this, you can do them all at once. Here is my instructional video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHn1gYzsiKA&t=8s

Thank you. I'll try both tests and will follow up with you the following week. For the OWA test, is there a way to see pending changes?

Filters were present. After clearing the filters the emails appeared. Thank you so much!
