Migration from exchange 2003 to exchange 2013

Hi All

I currently have a co-existence of exchange 2003 and exchange 2010. Do i have to move the mailboxes from my exchange 2003 to exchange 2010 before migrating to exchange 2013.

Since this is a double hop migration is it possible to upgrade to exchange 2013 and after this migrate the mailbox

Looking forward for suggestions.. Thanks in advance

You need to move the mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2010 first. Then you can do a direct migration to Exchange 2013. Do you have hard disk or memory issues on the existing 2010 server that are preventing you from doing this?

Exchange 2013 cannot co-exist with Exchange 2003. So, you have only option to move either to 2007 or 2010. Better move to 2010. Then remove 2003 from the environment, after that only you can introduce Exchange 2013/2016. I will say go for 2016.

Better you plan it properly, before you work on implementation, test in pre-prod.
