VM Cloning question.

I have a VM that has multiple drive.  I want to clone it but I only want the original server C drive to the cloned server only.

Please advise the best way to do it.

Or as an option you can use VMware Converter and do V2V migration. Then you can select which disks you would like to have in destination VM.

A CLONE by nature CLONES the entire VM, and in your case, that means ALL the other virtual disks.

Two options.... Right Click CLONE, wait for it to CLONE the VM, and on the CLONE, remove the disks from disk!

(safest option).

or remove the disks from the inventory on the VM to be CLONED, and add them back after it's been cloned - more risky, because some people use DELETE FROM DISK, and then your VM disks are GONE for GOOD!
