very slow imapsync
we have a zimbra 8.5.1 hosted in RHEL6.5(32GB RAM) and now trying to upgrade to Zimbra 8.7 in RHEL7.5(32GB RAM)
All users are POP3 users and have a total mailbox size of around 200GB.
We tried to use imapsync to copy mailboxes from old server to new server but taking long time with only 152KB transfer speed.
Is there any parameters to change for increased transfer speed or any other techniques to copy the same is recommended.
Our project is delayed just because of this transfer speed and before migration we need to have another sync to update the mailboxes.

Also this is a draw back we notice of ipam, coz it is too slow
I assume you already run with --usecache?
you may also want to synchronize alls ACLS, --syncaclks
if not check out those,
if you do then try to find out if there is a rate limit on access to mailboxes etc.
IMAP wasn't designed for bulk copies of data, so there is a lot of overhead in handling data transfers this way.
IMAP design goal was to specify criteria to select specific mails from a MAILBASE (Database of mail messages). + a means to download the record (Message) found.
