Boot Camp functions in Mac OSX Sierra?

I am still in Mac OSX 10.5.5 (Yosimite) because, after attempting to update to Sierra, I lost my Boot Camp Windows 7. I had to recover to 10.5.5, and re-activate my Windows 7 in Boot Camp, with the associated re-loading of all of my applications. Does Sierra or High sierra support Boot Camp?

I did not find any  useful information in the KB article.  My issue is that I never did discover why my system failed to accept Boot Camp when I tried the update to Sierra! I am not prepared to update to High Sierra until I can be assured of a successful use of Boot Camp/Windows 7 Home Premium. I still have FrontPage 2003 and Quicken XG 2007, each of which fulfill my existing requirements provided by these Windowx 7 applications. Perhaps I ought to continue with Yosemite (10.10.5) and ignore all requests to upgrade Mac OS X? Appreciatively, Arbyem

You need to uninstall the bootcamp and windows 7. Upgrade to Sierra and install bootcamp software version 5.1.5621 and do a fresh install of Windows 7 afterwards.

You need to follow the correct sequence and do not format the bootcamp partition in GPT format or the bootcamp will not work.

Thanks for the expeditious advice, which could well work!
However, I do not consider that the relative benefits from the latest Mac OS X update will offset the tremendous difficulty if pursuing the  process you have described. I am willing to accept the somewhat degraded performance under Yosemite, while continuing to achieve the effectiveness of my two critical Windows 7 applications (FrontPage 2003 and Quicken XG 2007.
Accordingly, I will arrange to close this post.

The newest OS X does not create an external bootable USB and just boots/installs from the ISO.  You will also need to install Windows 10 as Windows 7 is no longer supported in Bootcamp since at least El Capitan.

Thanks for the further edification. BTW, I erred in my original post; it was my attempt to upgrade to El Capitan when the disasterous failure occurred.
My decision to remain as is looks better than ever! I will dutifully close this post, with thanks to all who contributed. Appreciatively, Arbyem

Thanks to all for the relevant recommendations. As I noted in my last comment, I will "struggle" along with my existing configuration of Yosemite (OS 10.5.5), and Windows 7 under Boot Camp - at least until my Win 7 critical applications (FrontPage 2003 and Quicken XG 2007) cease to operate!
My apologies for some of my careless incorrect information provided in some of my comments (my advancing age - 79 - is showing increasingly).
